Bird Feather test . Its one of the R & D which i am doing now a days in my office. Wanted to creater realistic dynamic feather. There are many good scripts available like Dodo master but i am using Shave and haircut for this because of its good dynamics and ability to use instance objects. Below are some of the test renders. C & C are welcome... :D :)

Hey dude, Really nice work! Could you maybe explain your process of creating the feathers in shave - as this is something which I'm really interested in doing but there isn't much info on how to do it :)

Hi Robin thanks for your kind works, I have created feathers by using instancing in shave, its the method where you can specify the geometry (feather) to replace the individual hairs.
