Bird Feather test . Its one of the R & D which i am doing now a days in my office. Wanted to creater realistic dynamic feather. There are many good scripts available like Dodo master but i am using Shave and haircut for this because of its good dynamics and ability to use instance objects. Below are some of the test renders. C & C are welcome... :D :)

Hey dude, Really nice work! Could you maybe explain your process of creating the feathers in shave - as this is something which I'm really interested in doing but there isn't much info on how to do it :)

Hi Robin thanks for your kind works, I have created feathers by using instancing in shave, its the method where you can specify the geometry (feather) to replace the individual hairs. More information on how to do it is given in Shave documentation here:- http://www.joealter.com/newSite/Manual60.pdf Check instancing in the documentation , Give it a try and let me know if u are able to follow it. :)
